Personality:

• Atoner: a large part of Xena's motivations stem from a desire to atone for the sins of her warlord past; it's important to remember that the people that she now helps are the very people who would have been her victims in the past. Aside from pushing her to do good, this also makes her especially sympathetic to people trying change their lives for the better. It also makes her especially prone to self-sacrifice.
• Compassion/Love: She doesn’t show it a lot, but she cares about people a lot and has a very big heart. She will go very far out of her way to protect anyone who needs it and explicitly states that she doesn’t work for money. Even the few times when Xena slips back into more violent and less benevolent ways show just how much she cares- it’s usually when she thinks that someone she loves has been harmed. As she said to Gabrielle- if something happened to her or her mother, or Hercules, she’d likely  be overcome with rage and seek revenge. As much as Xena likes to play the stoic, she feels things very strongly.
• Courage: Do I really need to spell this one out? The woman is very nearly fearless. When she has to, she will face just about any odds, up to and including fighting the gods themselves. 
• Intelligence: While Xena hasn't had much of a formal education, she's very intelligent and quick thinking. Her problem solving and strategizing skills are what has kept her alive and what made her so successful as a warlord. She’s good at coming up with plans and dealing with changes to them, but she’s just as likely to think on her feet and improvise. She also knows a great deal about battlefield medicine. 
• Darker tendencies: While she has been known to show mercy and will accept surrenders, Xena has no issue with killing. Even after she turns good, her body count is far higher than that of her male counterpart and friend, Hercules. On the battlefield, she is vicious, ruthless, and enthusiastic. She will exploit every opening she can. She will turn anything nearby into a weapon. And she will do it all with a smile on her face.
• Temper: Xena also has something of a temper. Push the right buttons- which, almost without exception these days, would involve threatening or harming someone she cares about- and she's prone to lash out, sometimes violently. Given her skill set, this can go pretty badly if she doesn't snap to her senses.

Sex: Xena is bisexual and has no problem at all with casual sex, though these days she does prefer an emotional connection with her partner.

Her main hang-up in a setting like Pieria will be making sure that everyone is on the same page regarding the nature of the relationship. Back in her warlord days, she did use her sexuality to manipulate and mislead people. That's part of a past that she deeply regrets, so, if anything, she's hyper-aware of the importance of open, honest communication between sexual partners  In Pieria, she'd be extra careful about this.
